Daniel J. Bushard DVM

Dr. Daniel J. Bushard is a 1973 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. While Dr. Bushard has been extensively involved in large animal practice in the past, he now concentrates his veterinary interests in the small animal area, primarily treating dogs, cats, ferrets, gerbils, guinea pigs, as well as a variety of exotic species. Additionally he does provide care to a number of large animals such as horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and llamas.

Mary Hanrahan DVM

Dr. Mary Hanrahan, also a 1973 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine, is Woodview's primary equine practitioner. Dr. Hanrahan is extensively involved in all aspects of equine practice from development of wellness programs, reproduction and breeding management, lameness diagnosis and treatment, as well as equine dentistry. Because of Dr. Hanrahan’s strong interest in prophylactic, as well as therapeutic dental care, she spends a great deal of her time doing equine dentistry including dental restoration and treatment of periodontal disease.

Dr. Bushard and Dr. Hanrahan, who are husband and wife, have been involved in raising Labrador Retrievers and American Saddlebred Horses for many years.

Our Staff

Diane Vetter, our primary receptionist has been with Woodview Veterinary Clinic since 1991. Diane is often the warm voice on the other end of the phone when you call to schedule an appointment. While she serves in many capacities, she is the individual responsible for maintaining the office flow by scheduling appointments, doing bookkeeping, inventory management, as well as a multitude of other tasks.

Cindy Niesen is also a long time employee of Drs. Hanrahan and Bushard. Cindy is the one responsible for maintaining the books in the equine division of the practice. She also handles payroll and tax record keeping duties. Additionally she provides assistance in the maintenance and restocking of Dr. Hanrahan's practice vehicle, as well as overseeing the care of those horses brought in for breeding and/or extended care at the Random Lake facility.

Rose Vogt serves as our primary veterinary assistant in the small animal clinic where she provides daily care to patients in the hospital. She regularly assists with surgery and recovery of animals and has a gentle touch which all animals love. As time allows, she also assists Dr. Hanrahan with dental and other procedures in the field and in the clinic.

Pam Ford, a veterinary assistant to Dr. Hanrahan, is a regular part of farm and stable visits. She assists with many of the procedures done on the farms in an effort to make expeditious use of Dr. Hanrahan's time. Additionally, she often assists with procedures done in the clinic. Her duties also include preparation and mailing of products sent out as part of our Equine Deworming Program.

Jessica Fladvid graduated from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in December of 2006 and joined our staff in January of 2007 as a receptionist. She assists with scheduling of appointments and telephone communications as well as helping the small animal doctors in the exam rooms and treatment areas. Her duties are diverse and she is happy and willing to learn all aspects of veterinary practice.

Denise Rose Vizarraga, who was formerly an employee while in high school, has returned after receiving her Equine Associate degree. She is a valuable equine assistant both in the clinic and on farm calls. In addition, she is responsible for some of the daily care of equine patients in the Breeding and Extended Care Center.

Cindy Molter is a veterinary assistant primarily in the small animal area. She has a warm loving touch with hospitalized pets as well as those pets who are boarding with us. She assists the small animal doctors with surgery, medical procedures, as well as handling patients in the exam rooms. Occasionally she is also the voice on the phone as needs occur.

Jennifer Lenzendorf, a very capable member of our front desk team is now back with us in a part time capacity after taking an extended maternity leave to care for her triplets, Alex, Liz, and Zack. Jen's primary duties are receptionist, but also helps with patient care as needed. We are pleased to have her friendly, caring presence with us once again.
